The series Underwater by Erin Mulvehill is very fascinating, but at the same time there's something frightening.
These shots are in the middle between life and death; in fact, looking at these pictures we can easily feel a detachment, the time that has already ended its run, and cold, as if the people photographed were underwater, trapped under a sheet of ice.
The series, even if it's called Underwater has not been photographed underwater, but in the artist's studio in New York, where the artist is actually working and living.
As the artist said, her work is rooted in the ideas of mind, body, seamlessness and time.
